For the money, it can't be beat. It was a short driving distance to all the great Monterey locations. Unique layout of the rooms made for sleeping versatility for small family.
Not the cleanest hotel, but not bad either.
In a good location in a clean part of town.
The room was very clean and plenty of room.
We had a non-smoking room but there was a table with chairs outside our window which was a desigated smoking area. No one used the area while we were there but It was there to use.
Location - but then any location in Monterey is awesome since it's a small town!
I felt the hotel should not have been called a Quality Inn - Comfort Inn would have fit it better. It just wasn't up to par overall with the many other Quality Inns I've stayed at. The staff wasn't as professional or helpful as staff I have encountered at other Quality Inns over the years. If the overall price was 25% lower, I would have a completely different opinion. I would recommend, but with caveats.
The Quality Inn was quaint. Obviously an older complex but well maintained. This was close to Fishermans Wharf and the Cannery by car. The rooms are much nicer than you'd expect from the exterior but not modern. Very clean and was quiet. Bed was very comfortable.
If you prefer modern decor and a newer facility, you won't care for this hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for USD$180/night because we want to spend the night on the coast and 17 miles drive during the holiday season. But...unfortunately, 2010 US Golf Open blocks the tourist traffic of 17 miles drive & pebble beach...then the value of USD$180/night is extremely poor. Basically, the room is clean, bed is comfortable, staffs are nice. location is not as good as bay inn but valuable for this money (ps. not for hot vacation season). If you asked me the value, I could say this is a USD$100/night Inn as we can normally find.
We enjoyed having a non-stick waffle machine to use, and a fireplace in our room. Everyone was friendly and the rooms were well kept. Definitely a bargain for the price.
The fire places in the room was a nice touch! We didnt actually use ours since we had our one year old staying in the room with us, but we did turn it on for a moment. It was really nice.
It was quaint and beautiful in a lovely setting in Monterey. It was close to immenities as well as the center of Monterey and the SCUBA beaches and marina.
Nice salt water pool, fire in the room, very friendly staff, good choice for breakfast.
The Quality Inn is absolutely ok, has some good value for money, also the location is not too bad and quite near to downtown Monterrey. The breakfast is also ok, but in this sense nothing special. Friendly staff, no problems, everything clean and a reasonable price, but nothing special.
Clean, comfortable, easy to find, relaxing & close to everything.
Quality Inn is a cottage style place on the outside, lots of flowers a round the property. Very clean and the staff was wonderful.
I wished that the inside would have been cottage like as well. It is right near the coast and would be a beautiful place if more coastal decorated. Then the outside and the inside would match a little better. Very cute place!!
Convenient to downtown Monterey and shopping mall. Free Wi Fi.
Room very small for a king size bed. Office staff refused to let us print boarding passes even for a small cost. Parking is very cramped. The spaces are definitely for sub-compact to compact cars.
Swimming pool and jacuzzi were clean and well maintained. Indoor and warm water.
There was supposed to be free WIFI but there was no network access from our room. We called the front desk and they had no idea how to address it.
